King's Square

During the second half of June and all through July you can find Ebor Morris in King's Square on Monday nights. The first dance will start at about 8.00 (invariably Rose Tree because it is a good warm up dance and you don't have to use aany artificial warm up routines becuase it is a gentle dance.

Dancing usually goes on until it starts to get dark with a break for rehydration therapy part way through. A chance for the audience to join in comes in the shape of Shepherd's Hey performed in a large circle. This section of the evening usually includes a performance of the Escrick Longsword dance.

Once it gets dark we usually head off to the  to pay a visit to the Central Council for Morris Men's Rehydration Therapy; that is the "Tap and Spile" in Monkgate
