Jurong Bird Park

Round every corner you will find exotic and interesting birds. Not to be missed is the large walk in enclosure. Walk up to the waterfall with brightly coloured birds flitting all around you. It is a paradise experience not to be missed.

7000 birds from 600 species are housed in a beautiful lanscaped park covering around 20 hectare. You will see large birds like cassowaries, eagles to small hummingbirds. There are also penguins in a special air conditioned display with a glass fronted pool where you can watch the penguins swimming underwater.

Getting round the park is easy on foot or if you get tired there is a panorail train that will take you round.

Getting There

If you take the MRT to Boon Lay and look at the map don't think like this fool did that it doesn't look far to walk. It's not worth the earache from your spouse when they start complaining about how hot it is. Take a taxi or get the No. 251, 253 or 255 bus once you get to Boon Lay. The bird park is on Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim.
